Hello there! Great job on your research and writing about the social groups of your ancient civilization. As most of you know we are in the midst of creating an awesome board game. Fact: All good board games need cards; so guess what? We are now going to make cards in order to make our board game not only good--- we are going to make it great. Follow along with the steps below in order to create the art for your cards.
STEP 1: Hello Piskel
Piskel is a super cool web app that allows you to create sprites, those tiny pixel characters you've seen a million times online and in classic video games. Working with pixels is easier than free drawing because we are only working with one little box at a time.
Open up Piskel in another window and get familiar with the tool panel that lives on the left side of the pallet.
STEP 2: Create A Character or Object For Each Social Group You Researched.
Now it's time create our own characters or objects to represent each social group we researched. To begin, each group member needs to decide on a social class they want to create.
Remember, WE DON'T NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS TO DO THIS. Start by finding something similar to what you want to make via Google search. For example if you want to make a bow for the warrior class google "Pixel Bow and Arrow". In fact, this is a simple way to start to understand how pixel art works: at the end of the day, when we are creating pixel art, all we are really doing is graphing!!!!
Finally, when you have created your art work save on your desktop and then IMMEDIATELY upload it here. Don't forget to write your name!!
