MAKING CARDS WITH MTG CARDSMITH:

Now it's time to make some playing cards using our artwork and research using an awesome web tool called MTG CARDSMITH.

Note: It is important for you and your teammates to decide how many points(you will start with 55-64 for the whole deck)  you want to give each card. Along with that, you will have 10- 12 cards. So for example your deck could look something like this:

4 Slave Cards/3 pts each = 12 points

2 Merchant Cards/ 5 pts each = 10 points

2 farmer Cards/ 6 pts each = 12 points

1 Judge/8 pts = 8points

1 Noble Card/10 pts - 10 points

1 Kind Card/ 12 pts = 12 points

Total = 11 Card and 64 points

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:

THE PEOPLE WITH THE MOST POWER DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE THE MOST POINTS!!!

STEP 1: OPEN UP MTG AND CHOOSE M15 VERSION CARD:

Open up this link in a new window and click on "create card." Once we've done that, we will have an option between creating a modern frame or M15 Card, choose that one, as it will allow us to add points, power, and information about our card. This information will be the research you did in the beginning of this unit.

Now that we've decided on the type of card, it is time to upload the artwork we saved on our computer that we created on Piskel.  Click on the pictures above to follow along with the prompts in order to successfully do this. If you can't find your artwork on your computer, let your teacher know and they will retrieve it from the file you uploaded it to.

Finally, add the research and information you want to share into the text box provided in the editor. Don't forget to give your card a title, points, and any special powers that you want to right in to the game.

When you are done, please upload your card to THIS LINK. Don't forget to add your name.
