Circah is a project based, STE(A)M focused,  Common Core aligned writing program that accompanies the current New York City Department of Education pacing calendar for middle school Social Studies students. The program allows students to develop a deeper understanding of history, while learning to think critically and problem-solve through building projects related to the study of history; along the way students apply the science and math skills they learn in each discipline in order to engineer projects that are related to their current unit of study. The “ELA Workouts” that are included in each unit’s workbook allow for every student to develop as a writer and produce a grade-level informational essay that works to enhance their ability to write at grade level and beyond.
